I
am 15 and when I masturbated recently I discovered a little lump under my right
nipple. Can guys get breast cancer?
Breast
cancer in guys is rare, but it does happen. Of every 100 people getting breast
cancer about 1 is male. The first signs can be a lump under the nipple, (bloody)
nipple discharge, nipple inversion and sometimes pain. But with you it’s much
more likely to be gynaecomastia.
Half the guys in their teens will notice a swelling of one or both breasts due
to hormonal changes.
Sometimes it’s only the nipple, but the surrounding area can also enlarge. The
breast can be sensitive and touching might can be painful. Normally the swelling(s)
disappears after a few months to two years. But if you fear it might be cancer
have it checked out.
