The brother of my best friend has AIDS. Can I get it if I talk to him or shake hands?

You don’t have to be afraid you’ll get infected when you talk to this guy or when you touch each other. It’s also no problem if he coughs or sneezes near you. Many people are afraid they’ll catch it by having casual contact. But that doesn't happen. You cannot get the AIDS virus by hugging, kissing or touching someone who is infected.
