An
aphrodisiac is a food, herb, drug or scent alleged to enhance sexual desire and/or
vigour. It can be a natural or synthetic product.
The
word stems from Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love from Greek mythology. She
represents sensual sexuality.
Aphrodisiacs
are as old as the human race itself and there is a lot of folklore when
it comes to love potions. Knowing wheter a substance really works or not
without doing research is difficult because the brain is a powerful sex
organ. If you believe a substance will make you feel sexier and will increase
your desire you might well live up to it.
Don’t
be fooled by people advertising aphrodisiacs. Most don’t work and some are even
very dangerous. Never
use an aphrodisiac of which you are not sure it’s harmless. If you think you might
benefit from an aphrodisiac get well informed beforehand or do it under doctor’s
supervision. Ineffective
