When
I get a hard on it stands straight up. Is that normal?
Many
assume that the normal position of a hard
on is straight out in front of the body. But in reality there is considerable
variation. About 9% of the men carry the erect penis nearly vertically, more or
less stiff against their belly. But it can also point to the floor. Every penis
is different. In general the angle of erection is highest in the teen years, declining
with age. A penis that stands straight up is only a problem if it hurts when you
push it down a few inches. If you have no pain, you don’t need to worry: nothing
is wrong. But if you cannot push it down easily, intercourse
may be painful. One way to solve this is to stretch the suspensory ligament that
attaches your penis to the pubic bone. You can do this by pushing your penis down
when you masturbate.
Push it a little further than feels comfortable, but not so much that it hurts.
Doing this exercise regularly will in the long run stretch it.
