Fetishism is getting excited by a particular body part or object. The fetish is a kind of magic charm. If this charm is absent it’s hard or impossible to get excited.
Common fetishes are feet, hair, fur, underwear, boots, corsets, leather, latex, uniforms and high heeled shoes.
Most people have a preference for certain body parts, special physical characteristics or particular objects. Many women like to look at a guy’s buttocks and guys like to look at a girl’s tits or legs. There are plenty of people who like the smell and texture of leather or latex. But as long as excitement is not dependant on it, you would not call it fetishism.
Fetishism often becomes a problem when the object or body part becomes completely detached and the lover looses all significance.
