Genital warts is a common STD caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV).
Girls often have them in the whole pelvic area: on the inner- and outer lips, in the vagina and on the cervix.
With guys they are usually seen on the glans, but can also be found on the shaft or the scrotum.
They can also appear around the anus. In very rare cases they are seen in the mouth or throat after oral sex.
