My glans is covered by white stuff. Am I ill?
What you notice is quite normal.
The white stuff is smegma: oil like substance that lubricates the cavity between
the foreskin and
the glans. This allows
for a smooth movement between them during intercourse.
During childhood little is formed. But there is a noticeable increase during adolescence.
At first it is colourless and odour-free. But if you don’s wash it off it becomes
an unpleasant, unhealthy and bad-smelling substance. To avoid this you have to
retract your foreskin every day and remove the smegma by washing your glans. Pay
attention to the depth of the foreskin where smegma is liable to lodge in the
cavity between glans and foreskin. Removal is easy if you cleanse it regularly.
