There are various ways to get rid of unwanted hair:
Shaving:
removing the hairs with a razor blade.
Waxing:
wax is applied to the hairy area, a cloth pressed on top. This is ripped
off with a quick movement, removing the wax along with the hair. It
removes also the roots. It’s painful, but effective. The procedure has
to be repeated every 4-6 weeks.
Depilating:
removing every hair by pulling it out with a pair of tweezers.
Depilatory
creams: You apply a thick layer of cream, wait up to half an hour and
wipe it off. With the cream the hairs will also come off. A major problem
is that the skin may easily get irritated and even cause dermatitis.
Always try it first on a harmless spot.
Bleaching:
makes the hairs a lighter colour and thus less visible. This may also
irritate the skin. So try it first on a harmless spot.

Electrolysis:
An expensive and time consuming operation which removes the hair permanently.
Each hair is destroyed separately by inserting a small probe in each
hair follicle, destroying it through electric shocks.
Laser
treatment works with light, passing through the skin to the hair follicle.
The energy of the laser is transformed into heat, destroying the hair
follicle. The process is similar to electrolysis, but much quicker because
many follicles can be destroyed simultaneously. It can only be done
if the hair is darker than the surrounding area. It’s important that
it’s done by a professional with a lot of experience.
