Love
is not easy to define. If you ask 100 people what love means in a romantic relationship
you get 100 different answers. In our culture it normally contains three elements:
1.
Intimacy: feeling close and bonded, being
able to talk about personal things, trust and mutual understanding.
2.
Passion: physical attraction and the desire
to make love. Some relationships start with passion, while in others passion follows
emotional intimacy.
3.
Commitment: the longing to continue the relationship, “for better or worse.”
It makes the relationship last. Love is not about
words, but about actions. Care, concern for the other’s welfare and giving are
essential elements. Love gives meaning to life and makes you feel good.
