When my boyfriend stimulated my nipples white fluid came out. Is this
a sign of cancer? When you have nipple discharge without having been pregnant
it’s called galactorrhea. This happens more often than people realise.
In 50% of the cases no cause can be found. More than 80% of the women can bring
about discharge by squeezing the nipple, thus stimulating the release of prolactin, a hormone playing a role in breastfeeding. Prolactine levels also increase when girls are on birth
control pills, on antihypertensives or major tranquilizers,
being more prone to discharge. Most discharge is nothing to be alarmed about.
You only have to visit your GP if it is persistent, one sided, coming out by itself
and it is sticky, pus-like or bloody.
