The
raphe is a little line on the underside of the penis
and on the scrotum.
This
line can run from the frenulum,
along the underside of the penis and the middle of the scrotum all the way to
the anus. With some
guys it’s clearly visible, while with others it’s not.
Some
don’t have a line but rather a light discolouring of the skin.
This
line marks the junction of two parts that have fused together to form a straight
structure. It originated in the womb. The genitals of both girls and boys are
female in origin. Only after six weeks the male genitals start to develop. The
inner lips fuse together
and form the penis. The scrotum comes into being when the outer lips fuse, which
later houses the testis
that descend from the abdominal cavity. The “seam” sometimes remains visible.
