I only have one testicle. What’s wrong?

The testicles descend from the abdominal cavity down into the scrotum. This normally happens in the womb or shortly after birth. The child normally undergoes hormone injections or surgery if the testicle has not descended within the first year of life. If this is not done during childhood the testicle will no longer function. So it’s too bad that you didn’t have surgery when you were still a kid. You should go to your GP anyway, for if the ball remains in your abdomen, there is an increased risk of developing testicular cancer. With surgery they can place the missing testicle in your scrotum. If this isn’t possible and it bothers you missing a testicle plastic surgery can help to give your scrotum a normal look, like the scrotum of other guys.
