My vagina stays dry when making love. This makes coïtus
painful. What’s wrong with me?
First
of all it is important to get excited
before you start intercourse.
If you start too quickly, your vagina is still somewhat dry and the
movement of the penis will cause irritation. So ask your lover if he’ll
first stimulate your clitoris
with his hand
or mouth.
If you do get excited but don’t get wet at all, you should see your
physician. The amount of lubrication differs greatly. Some women become
very wet, while others don’t lubricate much. This variety is normal.
But if your vagina remains completely dry while excited something may
be wrong. Common causes are high blood pressure, a hardening of the
arteries, diabetes, the Sjögren syndrome,
a wide range of skin conditions, breastfeeding, contraceptive
pills with too much progestogen, anorexia
and menopause.
In the meantime you can solve the problem by using an artificial water
based lubricant.
Put some of it on the penis and at the entrance of your vagina before
having intercourse.
