A vaginistic reaction is a tightening of the muscles around the vagina when a fingers, dildo or penis enters. It’s a kind of spasm, making penetration painful or even impossible.
If penetration has taken place the vagina and surrounding areas may burn afterwards. Urinating is often painful.
The reaction is unintentional, the girl normally being unaware of the reflex.
Many vaginistic girls like to masturbate or make love, get easily aroused and have orgasms. They often don’t have a problem with sex, but only with being penetrated.
It’s difficult to discover why girls react this way. Even in therapy it often remains a question. Luckily the problem can be solved even if the cause remains a mystery.
